Local-First Access Control
Most access systems depend on vendor clouds and remote backends. FRP® applications run directly on customer-owned Android devices and remain fully video-source-agnostic — supporting everything from built-in cameras to USB-OTG webcams and IP cameras.
All biometric processing, FaceKey logic, and access decisions execute locally, ensuring access continues normally even if the internet goes down.
This local-first approach guarantees autonomy, privacy, and operational continuity.
Visualized Push Alerts & Logs, Not Blind Text Records
Traditional access control systems give you a blind log — a badge ID, a timestamp, and no context.
FRP® replaces this with visualized control: every access event generates a real image snapshot used both in real-time Push Alerts and in the permanent Visualized Log.
You see who approached the door, how they identified, and what actually happened at the checkpoint.
Access control becomes accountable, reviewable, and evidence-ready — not guesswork based on text entries.
Modern hardware changed everything
Affordable RTSP cameras and today’s Android devices transformed what access control can be:
- a camera becomes the primary sensor
- an Android phone becomes the unified controller & dashboard
- Matter-compatible retrofit smart locks dramatically reduce installation and wiring costs
- everything runs locally at the edge
No readers, controllers, hubs, or complex wiring.
Built for real operational environments
FRP® solutions are designed for:
- vacation rentals and short-term properties
- small hospitality
- retail and service SMBs
- coworking and fitness spaces
- offices and warehouses
- indoor/outdoor mixed access points
- contractors, crews, rotating teams
Deploy in minutes. No integrators. No specialized hardware.
Local-first architecture & remote tools
Edge devices (ACK) make all access decisions locally and remain fully functional offline.
FaceKey verification and access logic never depend on a network connection.
Remote administration is provided through RAU (Remote Admin Utility), installed and controlled by the customer.
ACK devices and RAU exchange encrypted data using the customer’s own Google account as a transport layer via Google API. Used for:
- configuration updates
- health monitoring
- alerts
- multi-device synchronization
FRP® does not run a cloud backend, does not store customer data, and has no access to the customer’s Google account.
If the network goes offline, edge devices continue autonomously; when it returns, they synchronize through the customer’s Google account.
App Rental Licensing
Perpetual on-prem licenses do not match the realities of evolving software.
FRP® uses App Rental Licensing — renting the application itself instead of infrastructure.
• software runs locally on customer devices
• biometric and access logic stay fully on-prem
• remote admin uses the customer’s Google account
• no vendor cloud or hosted backend
• subscription covers continuous development and maintenance
• suitable for single property, multi-unit, and enterprise deployments
This model keeps systems modern while preserving full customer ownership.
Identity-centered access
Keys, PINs, cards, and phones are not tied to the individual.
Local biometric verification increases accountability without involving external servers.
The future of access control is identity-based, not device-based.
